Among those affected were three players who alleged the theft of gold and diamond chains valued in the thousands of dollars.

NBC News confirmed the incident, with Pasadena police spokesperson Lisa Derderian stating that an investigation is currently underway. UCLA's athletic department has acknowledged the theft, stating they have filed a report with the Pasadena Police Department. The university is actively communicating with law enforcement, Rose Bowl Stadium officials, and the University of Colorado to address the matter. Additionally, the Rose Bowl's spokesperson emphasized that stadium personnel are cooperating with the Pasadena police in the ongoing investigation.

TMZ Sports reported further details, with Deion Sanders' son, Deion Jr., sharing a post-game video that showcased the players' shock and dismay after discovering the theft. Star safety Cam'ron Silmon-Craig voiced his distress, highlighting the unexpected nature of the incident. Another player lamented the loss of a chain he had acquired just a day earlier, taken straight from its box.
