Shreveport Man Arrested: Home Invasion & Multiple Battery Charges
SHREVEPORT, LA- Arrest of Lavario Lane for Multiple Offenses
The Shreveport Police Department has arrested 32-year-old Lavario Lane on multiple warrants stemming from crimes committed in 2022, 2023, and 2024. Lane has been linked to several serious offenses, including domestic violence and home invasion.
In 2023, Lane unlawfully entered a residence unannounced and without permission. During this incident, he battered a female resident and her minor child with a broom before fleeing the scene. This was not an isolated case; Lane was also wanted for a domestic violence felony dating back to 2022.
Despite efforts to apprehend him, Lane managed to evade capture until June 4, 2024, when officers were dispatched to investigate reports of a suspicious person in the 3100 block of Stonewall Street. Upon arrival, Shreveport Police Patrol Officers took Lane into custody and discovered that he was a non-compliant sex offender.
Lavario Lane now faces multiple charges, including:
- Failure to Register as a Sex Offender
- Domestic Abuse Battery of a Pregnant Victim
- Felony Domestic Abuse Battery
- Domestic Abuse Battery with a Dangerous Weapon
- Home Invasion
- Domestic Abuse Battery (Second Offense)
- Domestic Abuse Battery Child Endangerment
- Domestic Abuse Battery with a Dangerous Weapon (Second Offense)
The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to protecting the community and ensuring that those who commit such heinous acts are brought to justice. Lane is currently being held at the Shreveport City Jail, where he awaits his initial court appearance.
