SHREVEPORT, LA-    Shreveport police arrest man in connection with violent 2023 Domestic Incident

On March 28, 2024, the Shreveport Police Department's Domestic Violence Unit apprehended Deangelo Ryed in connection with a domestic incident that occurred in 2023.

Ryed is accused of one count of domestic abuse battery with serious injuries. It is alleged that he assaulted a female victim by striking her multiple times in the face and using a chair to inflict further harm by striking her over the head. As a result of this brutal attack, the victim sustained severe injuries to her left eye and required multiple stitches.

Members of the Shreveport Police Domestic Violence Unit located and arrested Ryed on March 28, 2024, in the 700 block of Cotton Street.

The Shreveport Police Department urges anyone who may have other instances of domestic violence to come forward and assist in the ongoing efforts to combat this pervasive issue in our community.

We are required to remind that all suspects are innocent until found guilty.
