
Shreveport Police Arrest Two Following Gun and Drug Raid
The Shreveport Police Department's Violent Crimes Abatement Team (VCAT) is working very hard to get guns out of the hands of criminals.
Yesterday, SPD's VCAT executed a search warrant on a home on Wilton Street. During the raid, they were able to find five semi-automatic guns, one automatic gun, 18 marijuana plants, body armor, and an assortment of other drugs
Gabriel Jacobs, and Kymton Solomon were found at the home and were arrested.
· Jacobs was charged with:
o Possession with Intent to Distribute Narcotics
o Illegal Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
o Possession of a Firearm with a Controlled Dangerous Substance
Jacobs was determined to be a convicted felon due to a prior conviction for assault by drive-by shooting.
· Solomon was charged with:
o Possession with Intent to Distribute Narcotics
o Illegal Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
o Possession of a Firearm with a Controlled Dangerous Substance
o Possession of a Machine Gun
o Probation Violations
Solomon was found to be a convicted felon based on a 2022 conviction for accessory after the fact to second-degree murder.
