SHREVEPORT, LA-   Three additional men arrested during the continued investigation of the fatal shooting of 1-year-old

Following the tragic shooting incident on February 11 that claimed the life of a one-year-old child in the 500 block of E. Stoner Avenue, Shreveport Police Detectives have made significant progress in the ongoing investigation.

On February 19, 2024, detectives executed search warrants as part of their follow-up investigation, aiming to gather crucial evidence related to the homicide. As a result, three individuals have been apprehended and charged in connection with the case.

The arrested individuals are identified as 23-year-old Jaylan Young, 28-year-old Kedarrion Baker, and 23-year-old Leterrion Watts. They face charges related to firearm possession. Specifically, Baker and Young have been charged with possession of firearms by convicted felons, while Watts has been charged with illegal possession of a stolen firearm.

Shreveport police also arrested Laterrion Watts, 23 years of age, on charges of second-degree murder in connection with this senseless act. This arrest represents a critical step forward in holding those responsible accountable for their actions.

Despite these arrests, the Shreveport Police Violent Crimes Detectives continue to work tirelessly to uncover additional information and apprehend all individuals involved in the senseless murder of the one-year-old child on February 11. We urge anyone with information to come forward and assist us in bringing those responsible to justice.

The Shreveport Police Department remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community, and we will spare no effort in pursuing justice for the innocent victims of violent crimes.

We are required to remind that all suspects are innocent until found guilty. No photo is available for Watts as his offense is considered non-violent by state law.
