It seems like most Texas towns, even the small ones have a Walmart store around or nearby. While not everyone loves going to Walmart, most appreciate the cheaper prices they offer to consumers. But there are some Walmart employees in Texas that have added body cameras to their work attire.
Body Cameras Help Walmart in Multiple Areas
Having employees wear body cameras while on the job could benefit Walmart in a couple different ways. One of course would be to help stop shoplifting. According to CNBC, employees wearing body cameras is a great way to deter theft.

But another benefit to the giant company is to use the cameras to assist with workers safety.
Walmart employees in Denton, Texas are already wearing some of these body cameras. Walmart encourages their employees to record if an interaction with a customer is escalating. And not to record in employee break rooms and not in any bathroom.

Body Cameras Expected to Help Customer Behavior
Around the holidays it’s more common to see customers showing rude behavior toward retail employees, so adding these cameras could help remind customers to not act foolish as they are being recorded.
Sure, there are already lots of cameras in all Walmart stores, but these are in your line of sight to remind you that you’re being recorded.
