After weeks of speculation, it's been confirmed that the LSU Football program will be moving on from Offensive Coordinator Matt Canada.

Canada arrived in late 2016, and just completed his first season in Baton Rouge. Early in the year, fans of the program had high hopes for Canada's high octane offense, that earned him the tag of being one of the most sought after coordinators in the country. However after issues arose between Orgeron and Canada, the program knew it had to do something.

Here's more on the move from the Louisiana Radio Network.

"The separation is official. Matt Canada is no longer LSU’s offensive coordinator. Tigers Head Coach Ed Orgeron says it was tough a decision, but he chose to go in a different direction in order to get the program where it needs to be. Coach O says the search for a new offensive coordinator begins immediately and he’ll look to identify a coach with a wealth of experience. The Advocate Reports Canada will receive one-point-seven million dollars to coach somewhere else."
