Well, you don't see this on the roadways every day.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office is at the scene on I-49 North where it appears a delivery truck carrying convenience store-type goods was ripped apart during an accident. Luckily, at least according the information I have at the moment, no one was hurt in the potentially dangerous wreck.
According to Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, the incident involves two vehicles, one being the delivery truck, on I-49 North at mile marker 228. The wreck was so bad and left such a big bess, they decided to initiate a full road closure on I-49 North between Highway 530 and Highway 170. The accident took place at about 10:00 AM today, Friday, July 23rd, and as of this writing, the accident has not been cleaned up yet. It my take some time to get that roadway safe again, as the delivery truck was completely ripped apart and its complete load was dispersed all along the highway.
The images shared by Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office were absolutely eye-opening. I don't think I've ever seen an 18-wheeler or delivery truck be shredded quite like that. The entire side and roof of the truck's container is missing completely. The accident itself had to be absolutely brutal considering the damage that was left behind.
They also shared images of the goods they were damaged and destroyed while getting tossed all along the highway. it's hard to make out most the items, but many of them appear to be tobacco items.
