After sweeping a doubleheader from the Bacone College Warriors on Saturday afternoon, the Pilots take Sunday's game in Muskogee, Oklahoma by the score of 6-5.

Pilots skipper Rocke Musgraves called on Rory Young to take the mound. And, Young did not disappoint.

He threw a total of 133 pitches in 8 2/3. Young struck out nine batters while only allowing four hits, giving up one earned run and two walks.

The Pilots got on the board early when first baseman Kyle Pearson hit a double to left field to send home a run in the top of the 1st inning.

In the top of the 4th, LSUS took advantage of three crucial Bacone errors, in which they would score three more runs to lead 4-0 by the 4th inning.

K.J. Semien and Brandon Cooksey came through with RBI's in the top of the 5th, to increase the lead to 6-0.

The Pilots thought they had a comfortable enough lead until the bottom of the 9th inning, when the Warriors score five runs to get the Bacone within one run, with the winning runs on second and third base.

Coach Musgraves called on Ben Suit to close the door for the Pilots and was able to.

The Pilots narrowly get out of Oklahoma with the score of 6-5.

The Pilots return to Pilot Field for the final time this season, when they take on their crosstown rivals the Centenary Gents.

LSUS and Centenary take the field Tuesday night at 6 p.m.
