Hot Shooting Gets LSU-S Pilots Past Hutson Tillotson

The LSU-Shreveport Pilots had some hot hands on Saturday night, as they had a total of five players reach double digits.

In the first half alone, the Pilots shot 47% from the field.

Brandon Davis led the way with 22 points and also had 16 rebounds, as he picked up his ninth double-double of the season. All of this came in part to the Pilots 97-77 victory over the Rams, continuing their 7 game winning streak.

The Pilots' Rodney Milum came off the bench and helped LSU-S in a big way, scoring 19 points. Milum was also 5-for-13 from 3-point range.

Rydell Harris played a big role as well as he netted 16 points while getting 9 rebounds. Aaron Jones, and Tevin Hall also reached double figures. Jones picked up 16, while Hall had 10.

The second half was even more kind to the Pilots coming out of the locker room, as Kyle Blankenship's crew shot 55% from the field.

The Hutson-Tillotson Rams shot a lowly 38% from the field for the whole game, and were also out rebounded 51-39.

With the win, LSU-S advances to 18-4 overall and 13-3 in the Red River Athletics Conference standings.

On Monday night, the Pilots will continue their road trip in San Antonio when they face off against the Our Lady of the Lake Saints at 7:30 p.m.

Monday night's contest has all of the writings of a big game as the OLLU Saints as they try and gain ground on the Pilots, who are 2 games ahead of the Saints in the RRAC standings.

These last few games of the season for the Pilots are crucial as they are 2.5 games behind RRAC lead SAGU.
