Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is coming back to Downtown Shreveport this August. The 2024 Geek'd Con will take place August 16th, 17th, and 18th, at the Shreveport Convention Center.

Tickets for this year's Geek'd Con are available right now. You can get yours here: https://geekdcon.ticketspice.com/geekd-con-2024

The guest lineup will include horror movie icon Tony Todd, Scrubs star John C. McGinley, the voice of Master Chief Steve Downes, award winning actor Billy Zane, the voice of Mickey Mouse Bret Iwan, and many more incredibly talented celebrities. But its not just the stars of film and TV, we have a second event happening inside Geek'd Con.

One of the incredible guests this year is Dee Wallace, one of the highest regarded Scream Queens in Hollywood history.

Dee is best known for her role as Mary Taylor, Elliott's mom from the movie E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, but that's not the only major role of her career. Prior to appearing in E.T., she was in the horror classic The Hills Have Eyes in 1977. During the 1980s, Dee rose to fame in the world of horror movies with a string of major releases.

In 1981 Dee played the lead of Karen White in the werewolf movie The Howling. In 1983 she was the main character Donna Trenton in Stephen King's Cujo. She led the cast in 1986's Critters as Helen Brown. Then in the 1990s, she kept her Scream Queen title rolling playing the main antagonist, Patricia Ann Bradley, in the 1996 film The Frighteners. She also appeared in two horror movies in the early 1990s, Popcorn and Alligator 2.

In the early and mid 2000s, Dee found multiple roles in horror films, but none as big as playing Cynthia Strode in the 2007 reimagination of Halloween. Her work with Rob Zombie on that film would open more horror movie doors after 2010. Including working on the Rob Zombie projects Lords of Salem, 3 From Hell, and The Munsters.

Dee has also jumped back into the world of Critters with her appearance in Critters Attack! in 2019. The she joined another well established horror franchise when she appeared in 2022's Jeepers Creepers: Reborn.

In the world of Scream Queens, Dee Wallace is constantly rated as one of the best. She's been named a Top 10 Scream Queen by publications like SyFy, Cinemablend, and The AV Club.

Having all of these stars at Geek'd Con gives you the ability to get autographs in person, and also your chance to get pictures with those celebrities. Most celebrities are all about taking selfies at their booths, but they also give you the chance to have a professional photo taken too. Though some of the guests do not do pictures at their tables, and only do Pro Photo Ops.

Here's a look at how much celebrities may charge for autographs and pictures:
