Save yourself money on State Fair admission and help the hungry here in Shreveport-Bossier.

The Food Bank of Northwest Louisiana, along with the State Fair of Louisiana and United Way of Northwest Louisiana have teamed up with a way for fair-goers to help the hungry — and get reduced admission to the fair, too.

The food drive and reduced admission takes place every day and night of the fair, through November 13th. Just bring three cans of food to the gate when you head to the fair — and you get $3 off your admission cost.

State Fair General Manager Chris Giordano calls it a “win-win situation for everyone.” Food Bank Executive Director Martha Marak encourages everyone in the community to go out and show their support for food-insecure individuals in our area.
