Isaiah Crowell, running back for the Georgia Bulldogs, was arrested by Athens-Clarke County Police on weapons charges last Friday morning.

According to the jail booking report, Crowell was arrested and charged with two felonies and one misdemeanor.

According to ESPN Sports, he was charged with a felony count of possessing a weapon in a school zone; a felony count of altered identification mark; and a misdemeanor count of possession/carrying a concealed weapon.

The Ledger-Enquirer reported Crowell's first public response, via Twitter.

"Seem like somebody burnin candles on me...God has a plan and all the hatas can say whatever, because ima get stronger and still reach da top."

Crowell was stopped at a vehicle checkpoint near campus and arrested at about 2:20 a.m. His bond was set at $7,500, but was increased to $9,500 Friday afternoon.

Last year, Crowell was benched during the first quarter of the Vanderbilt game for disciplinary reasons and was later suspended for the New Mexico State game after reportedly failing a drug test.

This is another Crowell-distraction for the Georgia Bulldogs. Is Crowell's future with the Georgia Bulldogs could be in jeopardy now.
