Geek'd Con is Shreveport's only comic con. It's a 3-day pop culture celebration that takes place every August at the Shreveport Convention Center. Last year's show had over 10,000 people pass through the turnstiles over the 3-day weekend, with guests like Peter Mayhew (the actor behind Chewbacca), Jeremy London, and the voice of Winnie The Pooh, Jim Cummings.

This year's event will have Elvira, Mistress of the Dark, Tara Reid, and Pro Wrestling legend X-Pac all on-hand. Each will be selling autograph and photo opportunities for attendees to take advantage of.

Geek'd Con: Shreveport will take place August 19th-21st this summer. Tickets to the show are $15 per day for Saturday or Sunday, $5 for Friday night's Vendor's Night, or $20 for the whole weekend. Kids 12-and-under get in free (per paid adult ticket). Ticket can be purchased in person at the 99X Studios, at 6341 Westport Ave in Shreveport, or over the phone at 318.550.2203 or 318.550.2204
