Mortal Kombat Actor Makes Special Appearance in Shreveport

Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is coming back to Downtown Shreveport this August. The 2024 Geek'd Con will take place August 16th, 17th, and 18th, at the Shreveport Convention Center.

The guest lineup will include horror movie icon Tony Todd, Scrubs star John C. McGinley, the voice of Master Chief Steve Downes, award winning actor Billy Zane, the voice of Mickey Mouse Bret Iwan, and many more incredibly talented celebrities.

Including a very special United States appearance of Francois Petit...the man behind one of the coolest entrances in 90s movie history.

Petit was the original Sub-Zero in the 1995 movie Mortal Kombat, where he played the iconic video game character to perfection. It was the first time we got to see Sub-Zero in live action.

Sub-Zero debuted as a playable character in 1992's Mortal Kombat. He was an instant success with fans, and is still ranked as one of the most popular video game characters of all time.

In addition to playing Sub-Zero, Petit also worked on extensively as a fight choreographer, including on the Mortal Kombat set.

In the 1990s, you may have also caught glimpses of Petit as a member of the WWF's medical team. He appeared both during matches and in behind-the-scenes videos. Including the epic Undertaker vs Mankind Hell in a Cell match and the documentary Beyond the Mat.

He’s also appeared in films like CANNES MAN, FIRST STRIKE, and SWISHBUCKLERS (which he also produced).

This is a rare opportunity to meet Francois at a US show. He will be traveling to the country this summer for a short time to meet fans.

Having all of these stars at Geek'd Con gives you the ability to get autographs in person, and also your chance to get pictures with those celebrities. Most celebrities are all about taking selfies at their booths, but they also give you the chance to have a professional photo taken too. Though some of the guests do not do pictures at their tables, and only do Pro Photo Ops.
