Fire Ravages Church in Webster Parish

A late night fire has destroyed the First Baptist Church of Cullen in Webster Parish. According to Cullen Fire officials, the blaze started around 10 pm Monday night. It took nearly 50 firefighters more than an hour to get the fire under control.

However, by that time, the roof collapsed and many are saying the church will be ruled a total loss.

The church has been operational and a staple of the Cullen community since 1938. An investigation into what started the fire is on going.
