Once again, I was spot on last week's fantasy football do's and don'ts! So what to do and don't this week?

DO start Andy Dalton.  Look, Dalton was not drafted in many FF leagues but he's probably on someone's roster in your league now.  He's had three straight good games and Miami is vulnerable on pass defense.  And oh, btw... Andy is throwing to AJ Green, who may be the best fantasy WR this year.

DON'T start Mike Vick this week.  Unless he's your only guy, I would sit Vick if you have a decent back-up.  Vick is horrible under duress this year, with less than 50% completion percentage and the Eagles are playing the Steelers who will rush the passer relentlessly.

DO start Ryan Matthews.  Chargers are playing the Saints this week and everybody so far has run all over my beloved Saints.

DON'T count on Fred Jackson or C.J. Spiller this week.  Buffalo has one of the best offensive lines in the NFL but they play the 49ers this week and I wouldn't count on a big game from either RB.

DO start all your Bronco and Patriot players.  Payton Manning and Tom Brady, together again.  I'm hoping for a shoot-out and huge fantasy numbers from both offenses.  Aaron Hernandez is not healthy yet, so keep him on the bench.  I'm even starting Patriot RB Brandon Bolden in a league where I'm short at RB because of the bye week.

DON'T start the Jets defense.  Revis Island is sunk for the season and the Jets just aren't good.  If you are still carrying the Jets defense, get rid of them and find another.

BOLD PREDICTIONS

  • Drew Brees will throw 4 TDs Sunday Night as he breaks Johnny Unitas' long-standing record of 47 consecutive games with a TD pass.  Brees gets the record on the first drive, and the Saints finally get a win.
  • Alfred Morris gets 25 plus carries against Atlanta.  I think Shannahan will want to slow the game down against the high-flying Falcons.  Morris gets a bunch of touches and could likely go over 100 yards with a TD again!
  • Benjarvus Green-Ellis won't get you 9 fantasy points. The Law Firm had his first fumble EVER last week.  He's going to find tough sledding against the Miami run defense and the Bengals will throw, throw, throw!

SLEEPERS WEEK 5

  • Matt Hasselbeck (QB - TEN) He's gonna throw against the Vikings and will likely get double digit fantasy points, so if you're desperate for a QB... this could be your guy.
  • Brian Hartline (WR - MIA) Last week, he had the year's best fantasy week for a WR so far.  This week Miami plays the Bengals.  He gets a ton of targets even without a ton of talent.  This game could be big for the WRs on both teams.
  • Owen Daniels (TE - HOU) Daniels may be finally getting back to form after tearing his knee up a few years ago.  He's had good games 3 of the last 4 and I think Schaub finds him a few times this week.

And remember, the first rule of fantasy football... HAVE FUN.  And the second rule... YELLING AT THE TV DOESN'T HELP YOU WIN!
