Once again, I nailed it on most of my picks in last week's Fantasy Football Do's and Don'ts.  So what does the great Evansstradamus think for week 4?

DO start Christian Ponder.  Right now the Viking youngster ranks 11th among quarterbacks in standard FF leagues.  He's scored more than players like Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers and Matt Stafford.  But he's probably on somebody's bench or even on the waiver wire.  This week he has a great matchup against Detroit, who've been giving up the points.  I'd start him over the likes of Tony Romo, even over Mike Vick.

DON'T start Jay Cutler.  I've had it with this guy, he's got a poor attitude, a smug look on his face and he's just not delivering.  I'd put Jay down in the lowest echelon of fantasy QBs at this point.  He may have a good game now and then, but he's proving his inconsistency.  This week he has a bad matchup against the Cowboys.  Cutler still has a chance to put it together this season, he does still have Brandon Marshall and they could still rediscover the magic.  So, don't drop him if you can afford to keep him on your roster.  But find another starting QB this week.

DO start Mikel LeShoure.  If you were smart enough to put the DET RB on your roster while he was still suspended then it's time to reap your rewards.  LeShoure had a big game last week and it looks like he's the big RB that can carry the load in Detroit.  I believe he will become a must-start player after this week.

DON'T start Reggie Bush.  What did I say a couple of weeks ago?  Ride Reggie until he gets hurt.  Well he got hurt.  Kudos to him, cuz it looks like he's going to try and play this week despite a balky knee.  Bad news is he's facing a stout Arizona DEF (more on them later.)  My hope as a fantasy owner would be that Reggie rest and get that knee healthy.  But apparently he's going to tough it out, we may not see the same Reggie until that knee heals.  RBs are hard to come by, but you should find a better option if you can this week.

DO start the Cardinal defense.  Unbelievably, this DEF was still on the waiver wire in most leagues coming into week 4.  I don't know what happened to the NFC West, but it's the new powerhouse defensive division.  You've got Arizona, San Fran, and Seattle... all top 10 fantasy defenses in my opinion.  You've even got the St. Louis Rams, who I think are a good play this week if you're desperate based on their matchup with Seattle who is struggling on offense.  Pick up Arizona and Seattle if they are on your waiver wire.

DON'T sit Julio Jones this week.  If you are thinking of sitting JJ because he didn't blow up last week... STOP IT.  He's a stud and should be started every week.  Here's how it's gonna play out for the Falcon WRs.  Jones will have weeks were he is kept quiet and doesn't have a big game because he'll be double covered.  Then he'll have weeks were defenses won't be able to stop him even when they double cover him and he'll put up monster stats.  Roddy White will be the more consistent fantasy receiver because he doesn't draw the coverage Jones does anymore.  But Jones will have big BOOM weeks, and some bust weeks.  But you have to start him because of that explosiveness.

BOLD PREDICTIONS

  • Aaron Rodgers and Drew Brees will finally be the fantasy studs this week we've been hoping they would be.  Can't believe this is a bold prediction, but based on where they were drafted in leagues, and how they've performed (particularly Rodgers) they haven't lived up to the billing.  This week, they will be the top 2 fantasy QBs... and in the same game.
  • Martellus Bennett will score a TD for the 4th straight game.  This is bold, because this week he's playing the Eagles and they haven't given up a TD to a TE yet.  Bennett is close to must-start status among TE's.
  • Wes Welker will score and get 100 yards receiving!  Finally Welker can be the PPR stud we all want him to be.  I said last week that we would learn whether or not Belichik was icing out Welker or not.  The answer is NOT.  I say he's back to being a must-start.

SLEEPERS WEEK 4

  • Andre Brown (NYG - RB)  Ahmad Bradshaw is going to play, but I think he'll be limited and Andre Brown will get plenty of carries.  It's a risky start with the return of Bradshaw, but Brown has played well in every aspect of the game, Coughlin will use him.
  • Denarius Moore (OAK - WR) Darrius Heyward-Bey got rocked last week and won't play on Sunday.  Moore is the healthiest he's been to date.  Carson Palmer will look his way early and often.
  • Falcons (DEF)  Atlanta picked off Peyton Manning three times.  What do you think they'll do to Cam Newton this week?  They have a hard to read defense and they disguise their coverage well.  I think Cam will get his points this week on the ground rather than the air.

And remember the most important rule in fantasy football... HAVE FUN!   And yelling at the TV doesn't help you win.
