Well if you read my Fantasy Football Do's and Don'ts last week, you already know I'm a genius.  I called it, RG3 was the number 1 quarterback, Adrian Peterson was a great start, and Kevin Ogletree lit it up for the Cowboys!  NOT!!!  I definitely got those calls wrong, but NOBODY saw those things coming.

Actually, I got some things right.  Peyton Manning WAS a great start.  Stevan Ridley blew up, I told you to start him.  Aaron Hernandez was one yard shy of equaling Rob Gronkowski's output.  And Jay Cutler was one of my sleeper picks.  So, let's see what the Do's and Don'ts for this week are.

DO start C.J. Spiller.  Fred Jackson was knocked out with a knee injury and C.J. is now a must start fantasy RB.  He'll get all the work in Buffalo.

DON'T count on any RB's from Denver, the New York Jets, San Diego, Green Bay, Detroit or Atlanta.  Look, Michael Turner may have some good weeks with the Falcons but I believe they'll be far and few between with the new pass happy offense... and they have Peyton Manning coming to town,  that game could be a shoot-out.  Shonn Greene had a good week for the Jets last week, but this week they have Pittsburgh who is always tough against the run.  The Jets defense could be without Revis Island and may end up playing catch up throwing the ball.  The other teams I listed all looked horrible running the ball last week.

DO gamble on Alfred Morris and that Washington running game.  Shannahan has kept us all guessing till now, but last week Morris had 28 carries... most in the NFL.  If Shanny-nannigans starts one of the other backs this week or completely changes things up... he's just being mean to fantasy owners.  I picked up Morris in several leagues and I expect another 20 plus carries against St. Louis.

DON'T give up on Trent Richardson just yet.  He had a horrid 39 rushing yards last week, but that came on 19 carries against the Eagles.  This week, he's playing Cincy.  This is usually an unusually high scoring affair when these two division rivals play.  Richardson gets his first TD against the Bengals this week.

DO start Reggie Bush this week as your flex.  I know, I know, last week I said get him out of your line-up and he totaled over 100 yards rushing and receiving.  Only 1o fantasy points, but that's not bad for your flex player.  Miami has no one else to give the ball to this week.  Ride Reggie till he blows out an ankle.

DON'T count on Mark Sanchez or Joe Flacco to put up the same numbers this week that they did in week 1.  If you're starting Sanchez, you better be in a 2 QB league.  No way he goes for over 300 yards against Pittsburgh.  If you're starting Flacco this week, you'll be disappointed when he doesn't have the same success against Philly that he did against Cincy.  I need to see more of this so-called "high flying" offense from Flacco before he becomes a top 10 fantasy QB.  He blew up last year in week 1 and didn't have many big games after that.

BOLD PREDICTIONS

  • Andrew Luck will be the rookie QB that shines this week.  He's making his first start at home against a suspect Minnesota pass defense.  300 yards and 2 TDs.  I called it.
  • Stevan Ridley will score again and come close to 100 yards again.  Ridley could become a must-start after this week.  I watched him at LSU, he's a beast.  He just needs to convince Belichick that he has his head on his shoulders.
  • Cedric Benson will total less than 20 yards against the Bears.  We'll know if I'm right about this in just a few hours.
  • Reggie Wayne is the veteran receiver that will prosper with a rookie QB, much like Steve Smith did last year with Cam Newton.  Wayne can run routes, Luck knows where he will be on the field... he'll become a security blanket for Luck.

SLEEPERS WEEK 2

  • Brandon LaFell (WR-CAR)  Uggh, my Saints aren't defensing many passes.  Steve Smith always scores against the Saints.  LaFell will this week too.
  • Jermaine Gresham (TE-CIN)  He was the go to receiver in garbage time last week.  This week I think he gets free down the middle against the Browns.
  • Johnathan Dwyer (RB-PIT)  He looked good in a back-up role last week against Denver.  I think he gets most of the carries this week against the Jets.  Tough defense, but this kid has some quicks

And remember the two most important things in Fantasy Football... have fun, and yelling at the TV doesn't help you win.
