Friday morning, a man now identified as 53-year-old Jeffrey Johnson, shot and killed a former co-worker near the Empire State Building in New York City.

According to police, Johnson was laid off from Hazan Imports about a year ago. He was employed there as a women’s accessories designer. During that time he and a co-worker filed harassment charges against each other several times.

Friday morning around 9 a.m., Johnson confronted the former co-worker outside the Empire State Building then shot him three times in the head. A witness called the police, and when they caught up with Johnson, he started shooting at the police officers and was killed himself.

Nine other peoples were wounded during the gun fight and were taken to local hospitals. Johnson and his 41-year-old victim were the only people killed.
