Achievements:  He won the 15-17 Boys' event at the 1984 Junior World Golf Championships.  After graduating Airline, joined the golf team at LSU.  Has 15 career professional wins, 13 on the PGA Tour, two on the Nike Tour (now Web.com Tour.)  Won the 2001 PGA Championship, where his score of 265 is still the lowest 72 hole score in a major championship.  Has spent 175 weeks ranked inside the top 10 of the World Golf Rankings.  Was presented the 2011 Payne Stewart Award for his positive representation of the game and charitable efforts.  Created the David Toms Foundation in 2003 to help underprivileged abandoned and abused children.  Recently opened the 265 Golf Academy in Shreveport to help foster golf among youth in the region.
