The Dallas Stars weren't messing around last night, as they exploded for 7 goals to beat the Calgary Flames 7-3 in Game 6 of their First Round Playoff match up. The win sealed the series for Dallas, who wins the best-of-7 series 4 games to 2.

In Game 6, the Stars were led by 23-year-old rookie Denis Gurianov, who put in 5 points, with a 4 goal haul and an assist. The Stars also got goals from Miro Heiskanen, Joe Pavelski, and Radek Faksa.

But the most impressive point of the night might belong to goalie Anton Khudobin, who got an assist on a 2nd period Gurianov goal. That goes along with Khudobin's 38 saves on the night.

Khudobin is actually the Stars backup goalie, forced into action during the playoffs because starter Ben Bishop has been dealing with an undisclosed injury. Last night was the fourth straight game Bishop missed due to the injury.

The locker room leaders have voiced their faith in Khudobin in net, and they appear to be right so far. In the Playoff games (and the pre-Playoff bubble games that are being counted as the Playoffs by the NHL stats people) Khudobin has a .919 Save Percentage, 203 saves, and a 2.49 Goals Against Average in 7 starts. With the Stars putting up video game numbers like last night, that goal tending will be more than enough to keep the Stars alive in the Playoffs.

As far as stats go, Heiskanen has been leading the Stars in the bubble, he's got 12 points, mostly made up of his 9 assists. Pavelski and Gurianov are the leading goal scorers, with 6 goals each inside the bubble.

The Stars move onto the second round now, and will meet up with the Colorado Avalanche.
