COVID Restrictions Update: How Does Louisiana Compare to Other States?
Every day America is making more and more progress with the distribution of the various COVID vaccines. Meanwhile, as the number of infections drop, different states have been rolling back restrictions limiting individuals, groups and businesses. While some leaders see a light at the end of the COVID tunnel, others seem to be holding fast to their power to maintain limits on the rights of their citizens.
To identify which states have the fewest coronavirus restrictions, Personal finance website, WalletHub, has taken metrics comparing restrictions currently in place in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The newest data looks at things like the restrictions on restaurant hours, liquor sales, face mask mandates, social distancing and even commercial and workplace temperature screenings.
Once again, when it comes to restrictions, Louisiana finds itself in the middle of the pack. The Pelican State ranked 27th overall on WalletHub's list, well behind neighbors like Texas (5th), Mississippi (8th) and Arkansas (13th). The Louisiana position is also an eight spot drop from the WalletHub survey of barely a month ago,
