The Louisiana Ice Gators (from Lafayette, Louisiana) are set to drop the puck Saturday night against the Mississippi River Kings, making this the first time a hockey game was played in Shreveport-Bossier since the Mudbugs left in the Summer of 2011.

This game is being played as part of "Hockey With George". It is named for George Cloutier, a Shreveport youth hockey league player who passed away in 2008.

The General Manager of the Gators, Louis Dumont, tells The Tiger what took place into planning this game and the huge possibility of  another hockey franchise returning to the area.

Tickets range from only $8-$15. Buy your tickets here.
