If he's right, Drew Brees is going to be really happy, and Sean Payton will (again) look like a genius.

When the Saints traded wide receiver Brandin Cooks to New England, the receiver corps for the Saints looked like it took a big hit. Willie Snead had a phenomenal 2016, Brandon Coleman is full of potential, and the team has added veteran Ted Ginn to the mix. But the piece that the team might be most excited about, is Michael Thomas.

By the sounds of it, he knows that. Thomas went OFF in his rookie year, and it sounds like he's making every effort to get even better. If that's the case, this Saints offense might not need an improved defense to keep them in games.

Here's more on Thomas' growth from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"Saints wide receiver Michael Thomas had an impressive rookie campaign, 92 catches for 1,137 yards and nine touchdowns. All three numbers broke Saints rookie records. Following an OTA session, Thomas said he can still take his game to another level. Thomas says he’s also added 10 pounds."
