This morning, Caddo Parish School Bus Driver, Janise Driggers was arrested for driving under the influence with children under the age of twelve, vehicular negligent injury and careless operation.

Driggers was transporting four young children to elementary school when the bus she was driving approached a curve too fast and ended up turned over on it's side in a ditch.

Driggers consented to a blood alcohol test, and Caddo Sheriff’s Sgt. Greg Ardoin said, "Driggers showed symptoms of the use of prescription drug and performed poorly on field sobriety tests". He went on to say, "It appeared that Driggers was driving faster than the posted speed limit.

Sources told the KWKH News Department that four students were injured in the accident and were treated at Willis-Knighton South Hospital.

A spokesperson for Caddo Schools said her position with the district is a personnel matter which will be handled internally. The Bus number is 81 and Janise Driggers has been an employee of caddo since 1995.
