As Charlie Cavel, voice of Byrd High School Footbal says on his Facebook page, "Football season officially begins tonight for me."

"I'll be broadcasting the Byrd vs. Huntington Jamboree at Lee Hedges Stadium. Pregame show begins at 5:30 with the freshmen kicking off at 6 p.m. For nearly 20 years Byrd football has been broadcast on AM 11130 KWKH - The Tiger. I'm proud to say I've been affiliated with both for 17 years. Sting 'em Jackets!"
