A number of north Bossier residents got a bit of a shock Thursday afternoon when a baby alligator (a four footer is a baby, right?) wandered out of the high water near the corner of Airline Drive and Wemple Road and onto the fringes of the CVS drug store parking lot.

The video, sent by a loyal KEEL listener and published with permission, was accompanied by the following text:

"There has been a lot of rain and when you pull into the CVS pharmacy at Airline and Wemple, you see this four foot alligator walking across.

A Bossier Sheriff's Deputy was called to come out and they called Wildlife and Fisheries. He (the baby gator) got out of the parking lot and into a ditch. DWLF then decided to leave him alone as he made it back into the water away from the busy road."
