News broke this morning that New York Yankees star Alex Rodriguez could miss most of the first half of the 2013 season due to an upcoming hip surgery -- the second of his career.

Disgruntled Yankees quickly fans jumped onto Twitter to sound off about A-Rod's surgery and future absence. Spoiler: they weren't very nice about it.

According to ESPN, doctors will operate on Rodriguez's left hip in January. The injury was discovered by Dr. Marc Philippon, the surgeon who fixed A-Rod's right hip three years ago.
