LSU and Louisiana Tech open the season Saturday night in their respective gridiron palaces.  And both will feature new starting quarterbacks with a lot to prove.

The Tigers welcome McNeese State to Death Valley with former Parkway Panther Brandon Harris starting at quarterback for the purple and gold.  Harris has a chance to put the quarterback competition into moth balls with a strong effort against the football championship subdivision Cowboys.

In Ruston, former Florida Gators starting quarterback Jeff Driskel, takes over under center for the Bulldogs.  Driskel was a 5-star, high school all-American before his career spiraled downward in Gainesville.

Giving a new leash on life with the Bulldogs, Driskel has earned praise from head coach Skip Holtz all preseason, earning the starting gig early in preseason camp.  The Dogs host Southern in freshly-expanded Joe Aillet Stadium, featuring a sparkling end zone addition fresh for the 2015 season.
