Sophomore right hand pitcher Aaron Nola will be the LSU Tigers starting pitcher in the season opener on Friday, February 15.

The first pitch will be at 7 p.m. as LSU vs. Maryland in Alex Box Stadium.

Junior right hand pitcher Ryan Eades will start the Saturday game. LSU coach Paul Mainieri has not announced yet who will open in Sunday's game but plans to make that announcement sometime next week.

Mainieri said the rotation is not set in stone, and has not ruled out rotating Nola and Eades. "I may flip-flop he and Nola by the third weekend if [Eades] has earned it," Mainieri said. "He won't earn it because Nola falters, he'll earn it because of his performance."
