LSU fans remember Chad Jones as dual sport star for the Tigers in both football and baseball.

After multiple surgeries and years of rehab, Jones is ready to step back onto the field...in a baseball uniform. Jones has signed a contract with the Cincinnati Reds just a few short weeks after being drafted in the ninth round.

Jones was drafted by the Astros in 2007, but opted to go to LSU instead of the minor leagues. Then Jones was drafted by the New York Giants in 2010, but a car accident just two months later nearly cost him his left leg.

Once projected to be a starting safety in the NFL, Jones will now get a chance to be a left-handed pitcher for the Reds.
