On this date in 1923, that gigantic HOLLYWOOD sign was dedicated in the Hollywood Hills to promote a subdivision.  To make sure it could be seen for miles, 50-foot-tall letters were used.  KWKH listeners told Elaine what word they would put  in 50-foot tall letters  in Shreveport.
