What skills or characteristics does a man in Shreveport-Bossier City, LA have to possess to be considered a 'manly' man?

Does a 'manly' man have to hunt and fish? Does he work in the oil field and wear Carhartt overalls? Can he fix your car on the side of the road? And is being a manly man different than being a 'man?' To me, a man is someone who takes care of his family, both emotionally, spiritually, and physically. A man is also trustworthy, honorable, and possesses good character and integrity.

We decided to have a little fun and pose the question about what makes a man 'manly' on air and online. Obviously, masculinity means different things to different people and is shaped by culture, upbringing, and personal experiences. But I think we can all agree that a good modern-day stereotype of a 'manly' man would be someone who is physically strong, courageous, self-sufficient, and honorable. Clearly, we were expecting some humorous answers, but I was personally surprised by the depth of some of the responses. Check 'em out!
