As a Shreveport native, long-time resident, sports broadcaster and sports fan, I am thrilled that KWKH is now AM-1130 The Tiger! Our market has gone way too long without a viable, honest-to-goodness 24/7 all-sports station. And it only makes sense that KWKH, the Home of LSU Sports for North Louisiana, is that station. You can debate whether Shreveport-Bossier is a sports town, but there is no debating Shreveport-Bossier is a LSU town.

Now, in addition to being your source for LSU games and news, KWKH is also your source for both local and national sports talk. My long-time friend Tim Fletcher (you either like him or you don't--and I do) takes your calls from 7-9 each weekday morning. If it all works out, there is also good news for the afternoon drive home. However, it's not my place to let the Ben, uh, I mean cat, out of the bag--so stay tuned! From a national standpoint, Dan Patrick is on now, and Jim Rome will be on shortly. Personally, it doesn't get any better than Rome!

When football season rolls around, you won't want to miss Wednesday nights on The Tiger. The Les Miles Show will air from 7-8. Then, from 8-9, yours truly will host the fifth season of Talkin' Tiger Football. We will preview LSU's upcoming game, have special guests, take your calls, and offer you the chance to win free stuff. Who doesn't like free stuff!

And, with the writing of this post, I am happy to join The Tiger as a official blogger! Every now and then--hopefully more now than then--I will share my thoughts on all things sports. You may agree, you may disagree, but that's what makes our country so great--we can share ideas and either agree, or agree to disagree.

So, I welcome you to AM-11130 The Tiger. And I welcome AM-1130 The Tiger to the Ark-La-Tex. Speaking for all area sports fans, we sure are glad to have you. Don't you agree?
