Early Thursday (10/28/21) morning, a Joint Task Force made up of the Minden Police Department, Webster Parish Sheriff’s Office, FBI, Bienville Parish Sheriff’s Office, US Marshals Service and Louisiana Probation and Parole conducted Operation Save Our Streets (SOS).
The operation was targeted at a Webster Parish based gang that calls themselves TTS, or "Trained to Step". Members of this street gang are suspected of being responsible for the majority of gun and drug crime in the Parish. This operation come after a shootout at a busy intersection, where children were playing nearby earlier this week.
11 search warrants were executed at residences in Minden and Webster Parish. Multiple arrests of Trained to Step gang members were made. Also, several guns, narcotics and thousands of dollars were seized.
The goal of operations like this is to keep the citizens, children, and property safe from destructive and dangerous violence from gang members committing violent crimes in the Parish.
