Want to Get Into Prize Fest? You Must Show Vaccine Proof
Prize Fest has made Shreveport-Bossier history, they are the first live event in Shreveport to require their attendees to show proof of vaccinations or a negative covid test before entering the festival.
Prize Fest is one big celebration of film, food, music, and comedy. It's the festival that reminds us why we love Shreveport-Bossier so much. The talents we have here are second to none and this is our humble brag. Okay maybe it's our not-so-humblebrag, we don't care, we love showing off.
Prize Fest will take over Shreveport over the course of 2 weekends. September 24th and September 25th and September 30th through October 2nd. If you've been waiting to get your second dose and want to attend Prize Fest, now is the time.
Is Prize Fest really going to require proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to get in?
Yes, not just yes, but absolutely will require all attendees, artists, staff, and volunteers to provide either proof of full vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test in order to attend in-person this year. This protocol seems to be non-negotiable.
The Facebook post on Prize Fest's official page said: "All Prize Fest attendees must provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test issued within 72 hours of their arrival to in-person events at Prize Fest 2021."
Will other local events follow Prize Fest and also make the same requirements of their attendees?
Will this mean that we will need to get our vaccination cards ready for shows at the Shreveport Municipal? What about outdoor events like Brew? Will this make you think twice about attending an event?
How can you show proof? You can show it through your LA Wallet App or your SMART Health Card. You can also bring a digital photo or photocopy of a CDC Vaccination Card with a name matching your ID. Keep in mind the entire card must be visible on digital or printed copies.
If you plan to bring a negative test it must be a physical or electronic COVID-19 test with a negative test result within 72 hours of arrival at the festival.
