Louisiana-Monroe Athletic Director Bobby Staub has announced his resignation effective July 1. Staub has been the AD since 2004 and has had great success at the position.

Under Staub, ULM’s football program went to their first ever bowl game last season when they played Ohio in Shreveport's Advocare V100 Independence Bowl. In Staub's tenure the Warhawks also moved all sports to the Sun Belt Conference where three of his hires were awarded Conference Coach of the Year.

Staub also oversaw the transition of mascot names in 2005 when the university was pressured to abandon the "Indian" mascot and rename themselves the "Warhawks."
