Achievements:  Led Airline to two State Championship Games.  1990 Shreveport-Bossier Player of the Year.  As a senior at Airline, earned the Lousiana State Most Outstanding Player.  Attended LSU and led the Tigers to the 1993 National Championship.  1993 College World Series Most Outstanding Player.  Had an SEC record 33 game hitting streak as a sophomore.  Drafted by the Texas Rangers out of high school, elected to attend LSU and then became the eight overall pick by the Minnesota Twins in the 1994 MLB Draft.  Played for seven Major League Teams.  Still holds the Boston Red Sox record for home runs in a post-season with five.  Member of the College Baseball Hall of Fame and the Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame.
