Tiger Woods won Sunday's PGA tournament.

And that's a good thing.

Wait a minute. Hold the emails. Hold the Tweets.

I didn't say Tiger is a good guy.

I didn't say we should forgive him for making a mockery out of marriage.

I didn't say we should forget how his stupidity put a stain on--some one say ruined--one of the great careers of our time.

I just said it's good that he won.

Good for golf. Good for television. Good for those of us who appreciate his talents--on the course.

Sunday, Tiger came from four shots back to win The Memorial, a tournament hosted by perhaps the greatest of all-time, Jack Nicklaus. Interestingly enough, Tiger's victory gave him the same the same number of Tour wins as Nicklaus (73). Woods' final round five-under-par 67 gave him a two-shot victory, highlighted by one of his finest shots ever. And considering Tiger has had some fine shots over the years, that's saying something.

His birdie chip from 16 will be replayed for years to come. Long, and he's in the water. Short, and he's got a fast downhill putt remaining. Perfect, and it's in the hole.

On the 16th hole, Tiger was perfect.

But is he back? That's the Question du Jour. It would be ridiculous to answer "Yes". He played a almost flawless round. Even he, during a post-round interview, couldn't come up with any complaints. He made the type shot that has highlighted his career--at least until the wheels came off Thanksgiving 2009.

But it was only one round. It was only one shot.

And only time answer the question.

In the meantime, don't question his morality. Don't question his faithfulness. Don't question his common sense.

And don't question his game. Until his next tournament.
