For the second time this decade, the headline "The Dallas Mavericks Agreed To Deal With DeAndre Jordan" is being used. But that last time that was printed, it didn't end up as a done deal. Jordan backed out after verbally committing.

So this time around, when ESPN reports that Dallas has signed Jordan, they looked for a signal from the big man...and they got it.

Jordan posted a little response on Twitter signaling that this time, he means it.

ESPN seems to buy into the deal being done...

"The Mavericks, having forgiven Jordan for leaving them at the altar a few years ago, made the 10-year veteran their top priority in free agency after attempts to engage the Clippers in trade discussions fizzled, leading Jordan to decline his player option.

Dallas sees Jordan, a dominant, physical presence and finisher, as an excellent complement to its young cornerstones. He provides a pick-and-roll partner and lob threat for point guard Dennis Smith Jr. and swingman Luka Doncic, the Mavs' lottery picks the past two years."

But we'll have to officially wait for the moratorium period to end for this one to be officially official.
