Hurricane Isaac made landfall in Plaquemines Parish in Louisiana located 90 miles southeast of New Orleans. Because Hurricane Isaac is headed toward Louisiana, the Louisiana Tech vs Texas A&M Game scheduled for this Thursday has been postponed until October 13.

All flights in to and out of New Orleans have been cancelled as of Tuesday, August 27 due to Tropical Storm Isaac. Flight cancellations were released by American Airlines, Southwest Airlines and United Airlines.

Tropical Storm Isaac isn't a hurricane yet but will be soon according to the National Hurricane Center. A tropical storm becomes a Category 1 hurricane when winds reach 74 mph. Isaac's top sustained winds have reached 70 mph as of 5 p.m. today.

FLW and the Shreveport/Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau have released the good news that Shreveport will again be hosting the Forrest Wood Cup, the world championship of bass fishing, Aug. 15-18, 2013, on the Red River.
