A Louisiana mother has been arrested for child abuse after her 4-year-old was found wearing a trash bag instead of clothing and showing visible injuries. Authorities say Hailey Bellard beat the child with a plastic utensil, leaving marks on their back and legs.

The Shreveport Police Department has arrested a woman following a home invasion and child abuse incident that occurred on the 2700 block of Randolph Street.
When Davis picked up her 15-month-old son Gabriel from daycare, she immediately noticed bruises on his face. Questions flooded her mind that she hoped would be answered by the workers present at the daycare that day. However, Davis tells WAFB that while the bruising is terrible, she is more upset by the lack of answers.
Police arrested the 15 year old's mother and her boyfriend at the scene of the accident in Baytown Texas after seeing that the child had severe injuries not sustained from the accident. Police say she was not only sexually abused but set on fire and shot more than once.
The arrest follows an investigation prompted by concerns raised by two juveniles to a school resource officer regarding physical abuse allegedly inflicted by a guardian.
