Hire a babysitter or ask a friend who isn’t retail-inclined to watch the little ones for you.
This may sound like it goes without saying, but Black Friday is not the time to break in new shoes or show off your new stilettos. Flats or sneakers will let you clock more hours on your feet to make sure you don’t miss a single deal.
If you’ll be waiting outside in the pre-dawn hours, it could be cold. By the same token, remember some stores crank up the heat, so once you get inside, that coat may be stifling. Be sure you can peel off layers to stay comfortable as you shop.
