We’re just a few weeks away from seeing Supergirl and The Flash team up in live-action, but from the sounds of it the “Worlds Finest” have more in common than just superpowers. Cast and crew tease Barry and Kara’s big teamup, including a surprising spark, a legendary race, and an “infectious and exciting and upbeat and happy” tale to remember.

Speaking to TVLine ahead of the recent Paley Fest panel, Supergirl star Melissa Benoist teased the upbeat dynamic between she and her former Glee co-star Grant Gustin:

It is the most joyous occasion to have these two superheroes together in the same place, at the same time, working together. They are both so happy with their powers and what they get to do and how they get to help people, that it’s kind of infectious and exciting and upbeat and happy.

Mehcad Brooks also teased that Jimmy would find himself a bit green with envy toward the Scarlet Speedster, as he and Kara share a super-chemistry he himself can’t contribute very much to:

We have this little rivalry, because he’s a superhero, too, and kind of hitting on my girl a little bit. I’m like, ‘Damn you, Barry.’

So reads the official March 28 synopsis, which confirms a villainous teamup we glimpsed on set earlier:

Kara gains a new ally when the lightning-fast superhero The Flash suddenly appears from an alternate universe and helps Kara battle Siobhan, aka Silver Banshee, and Livewire in exchange for her help in finding a way to return him home.

We’ll find out more on the road to March 28, so stay tuned for more “Worlds Finest” details of the big Supergirl-Flash crossover!
