Tons of reports today have indicated that the New Orleans Saints will face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Paris, France on October 25, 2026. It's going to be the first time the NFL will play a regular season game in France. This game is part of the league ongoing effort to host regular season matchups in European markets outside of the United Kingdom.

It makes a ton of sense for the Saints to be the team to crack the NFL seal in France, with the fleur-de-lis logo and deep French roots through the whole state of Louisiana. It's really the perfect fit. Putting the Steelers against them is also a solid pick, with their franchise being a long-term leader among fan interest around the world.

The contest remains a standard regular season game that will count toward the final standings for both franchises...The event will mark the first time the NFL has played in the country.

New Orleans Saints Roster Outlook For 2026

The Saints enter the 2026 season with Tyler Shough situated at the quarterback position to lead the offense, coming in with massive hype based on the end of his 2025 rookie campaign. The team also brought in several free agent signings during the offseason, including running back Travis Etienne Jr. and offensive lineman David Edwards.

Jordyn Tyson joined the organization as a First Round NFL draft selection to provide a new target in the passing game. Adding Tyson give Shough another weapon, to pair with Chris Olave, in their downfield attack. Head Coach Kellen Moore is obviously going offense first in 2026.

Saints History Of Success In Overseas Matchups

This trip to France marks the next chapter in the history of the New Orleans Saints playing in the NFL International Series. The organization has previously participated in three regular season games held in London, since the league began overseas rotations.

Currently, the Saints maintain a solid record when playing regular season games outside of the United States...the team has accumulated a 2-1 record in international appearances.

All three of those games were played in London, including the NFL's second-ever International Series game. That came in 2008 when they beat the San Diego Chargers in London 37-32. The Saints last International Series game was in 2022, where they lost to the Minnesota Vikings 28-25.
