New Orleans Saints cornerback Marshon Lattimore had a sensational rookie campaign that resulted in him being named NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. Lattimore was motivated to have a big season last year, because 10 other teams passed up on him. The former first round pick has been telling reporters that he still has something to prove.

Which is great news, since the Saints are about to head into minicamp this month. Most teams are trying to convince players to show up to minicamp, while the Saints have a roster full of players like Lattimore who have a chip on their shoulder.

The Saints are building a killer defense right now, especially after sacrificing next year's draft to score Marcus Davenport. Hearing from one of their new defensive leaders getting pumped for minicamp is great, because this will hopefully set a tone for everyone in black and gold.

The Saints will hold a minicamp from June 12th to the 14th at the team’s training facility in Metairie. It will be open to the public each day, weather permitting, starting at 11 AM.
