The Saints have lost 2013 First Round pick Kenny Vaccaro for the rest of the 2016 season...well, barring a miracle.

It hasn't been a great year for the Saints on the injury front, and it's been especially bad on the defense. But this loss is more 'self-inflicted' on the part of the player, who's actually been playing on borrowed time. Vaccaro was initially notified weeks ago, but has been playing under appeal, he has however decided to take the punishment now. Here's what that means from the Louisiana Radio Network:

"Unless the Saints make the playoffs, safety Kenny Vaccaro has played his last down of the 2016 season. Vaccaro will begin serving a four-game suspension for violating the league’s performance enhancing drug policy. Vaccaro was popped for taking Adderall. He had a chance to appeal, but decided not to. The 5-and-7 Saints are at Tampa Bay on Sunday. The Bucs have won four in a row."
