Re-live The History of Wrestling in Shreveport

A lot of people ask me why I post so much stuff on our website about wrestling. One reason I do it is because I like it. I'm a dirty mark, I've been watching it for years...I just love it. But, the other reason I post so much wrestling stuff, is because Shreveport has a rich professional wrestling history.

From being a frequent Mid-South Wrestling stop to being the home of 'Dr. Death' Steve Williams, pro wrestling has been a huge part of Shreveport. Junkyard Dog, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Ernie Ladd, Jake the Snake Roberts, the Midnight Express, Magnum TA, Dusty Rhodes and COUNTLESS other wrestling Hall of Famers have performed in Shreveport at the Hirsch Coliseum and various other venues.

You can watch a lot of classic matches from Shreveport on the WWE Network, but to give you a little taste, here are some Mid South matches from the early 80s from our neck of the woods.
