‘Preacher’ Sets June Premiere With First Season 3 Photos
Hallelujah, our Preacher hiatus is coming to an end. Season 3 will kick off a familiar arc for the AMC comic drama, and our first look at the new episodes brings with it the promise of a June premiere.
AMC provided a first look at Preacher Season 3, which kicks off the first of 10 new episodes on Sunday, June 24 at 10:00 P.M. The first photos also bring a spot of good news for fans, as Ruth Negga’s Tulip is apparently up and about after the Season 2 finale – spoiler alert – left her for dead. Jesse (Dominic Cooper) and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) then took her body to Jesse’s home at “Angelville,” hoping for the possibility of resurrection. Check it out below:
And here’s your Season 3 synopsis:
In Season 3, Jesse Custer’s quest for God takes him back to the place he’s been avoiding his whole life: home. Jesse, Tulip, and Cassidy return to Angelville, the Louisiana Plantation where Jesse was raised, and find old grudges and deadly obligations await them. With the help of his friends – and a few enemies – Jesse will need to escape his past… because the future of the world depends on it.
New additions for Season 3 include Supergirl star Betty Buckley as “Gran’ma” Marie L’Angell, with Falling Skies alum Colin Cunningham as enforcer “T.C.” and Nashville star Jeremy Childs as Jody. The series will also feature in recurring roles Liz McGreever, Jonny Coyne (Allfather!), Adam Croasdell and Prema Cruz.
It could be some time before we see first footage, so stay tuned for the latest on Preacher Season 3.
